Bombings in Jerusalem

I woke this morning to hear the terrible news that Jerusalem suffered three bombings last night. Two suicide bombers and one car bomb. At least twelve are dead, perhaps 170 injured, many of them critically. This follows the bombing of an Israeli bus on Thursday evening. Which followed a week in which many Palestinians were killed, including two youths on Saturday.

Nothing justifies these actions. Absolutely nothing. It's senseless. My heart goes out to the victims on both sides. I feel for both the families of the Israeli and the Palestinian victims. Will it ever end?

I was planning to go to Jerusalem today, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. And I'm not sure if the checkpoint will be open anyway. I'll provide an update later.

Now -- what will the Israelis do to retaliate?
