We passed many street vendors selling various foods, and I was sort of hungry, so I decided to have some fried grasshoppers. These grasshoppers are larger than the ones back home, and fried to a crispy brown. Vendor after vendor had large baskets of these delicacies, so against better judgement, I had a handful. They were superb. I would say they were something like popcorn. I was afraid that the filthiness of the vendor's hands or the quality of the frying process would cause severe intestinal distress in me later, but so far I'm OK. Check with me tomorrow.
