Breaking Curfew, Bethlehem
Home Damaged
[Bethlehem, West Bank]
Breaking curfew, I took a brief walk through Bethlehem with some
friends.

My neighbor's
home wasn't totally demolished by Israeli soldiers.
The damage was limited mostly to the top floor. He told me there
were nine people living there.

Virtually
nothing was recoverable.

Which room
was this? The bathroom? Who can tell?

Standing
in the rubble of the living room.

Boys break
curfew.

Near Christmas
Lutheran Church, Madbassa Square.

The souq
was empty.

Nativity
Church and Manger Square was vacant. An APC left immediately before
we arrived.
