There was a bad vibe in Jerusalem today. The city was on high alert, and I saw dozens of Israeli soldiers. The streets were pretty empty this morning, because all of the checkpoints around the city were difficult to get through. There were mobile checkpoints set up everywhere. A lot of large trucks and vans were pulled over to be inspected. I think everyone expects a Hamas bombing in retaliation for the attempted assassination on their spiritual leader a few days ago.
